Asher eigth son of Jacob

(Gen 30:13)  And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

(Jos 19:29)  And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib:

(Jos 19:30)  Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.

(Jos 19:31)  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

Alotted to Levi

(Jos 21:6)  And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

(1Ch 7:40)  All these were the children of Asher, heads of their father's house, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. And the number throughout the genealogy of them that were apt to the war and to battle was twenty and six thousand men.

(1Ch 12:36)  And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.

Passover celebrated

(2Ch 30:10)  So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.
